The Registered OrthopedicTechnologist, ROT  The Orthopedic Brace Specialist, OBS The ROT & OBS Exams You can receive national recognition for your casting & bracing abilities.  All graduates of the Orthopedic Technology Course are eligible to take the ROT and OBS exams.  They are available at no charge to all attendees of the course.  They are taken online and do not require travel or other additional expenses.  After your certification as an ROT and/or OBS, you will be required to obtain 24 hours of continuing education every two years.
